Arcade is an upcoming open metaverse for the NFT community. How so? According to the team, you can socialize, create, own, play, and live your life as your NFT in Arcade. For instance, if you have Cool Cats in your wallet, you can interact in the game using Cool Cat as your avatar.

So far, Arcade has partnered with several big-name NFTs such as BAYC, MAYC, Phanta Bear, mfers, CyberKongz, and more. Wonder how to get started in this exciting world? Read on to find out!

Live your life as your NFT in Arcade: What you need to know

First off, Arcade is not the same as Yuga Labs’ metaverse RPG “Otherside”. Instead, Arcade is a different metaverse brought to you by the makers of the BAYC game: Apes VS. Mutants. As mentioned, the team aims to create Arcade as an open multiverse hosting different NFTs at once.

To kickstart the project, the team sold out 10,000 plots of land NFTs early this month. It only took 2 minutes for the team to conclude its public sale, indicating overwhelming support from the NFT community for this project.

Take note though that the team will only launch a beta version of the game in Q2 this year. The good news is that you do not need to own any NFT or land to access the game. This makes Arcade a truly inclusive metaverse. However, if you wish to play in Arcade as your own NFT, just get in touch with the team on their official Discord channel. The team will design a custom NFT version for you and the mint price will be announced closer to launch.

Next, if you’re one of the land NFT holders, tons of perks await you in the ArcadeVerse. First off, you’ll have a place called home in the metaverse. Then, you’ll get exclusive access to NFT drops and merch. What’s more, Arcade land NFT owners can earn passive income from their lands as well. In particular, they can choose to rent out, advertise, or launch stores on their lands.

Get to know the different lands and regions in Arcade

In Arcade, you can find 10k plots of land NFTs scattered across 2 planetary worlds, The World and the Moon. The World consists of 4 regions: Jungle (3200 plots), Dystopia (2600 plots), Volcanic (2000 plots), and Frozen (1400 plots). Last but not least, Moon plots are the rarest as there are only 800 of them.

Each type of Arcade land NFT comes in different sizes: Standard, Large, X-Large, and Mega. The bigger the plot, the more perks and resources that you can get. Although the gameplay details are scarce, we do notice that each region contains its own unique resources. For instance, you can find Tree Crystals in the Jungle region, and Toxic Crystals on Dystopia plots. Nonetheless, we believe that these Crystals are part of the resources that players can gather for some sort of crafting in the game in the future. We’ll have to wait for more updates from the team on this.

    Final thoughts

To sum it up, the Arcade metaverse is still in its infancy. However, given the full support from its eager fans, we can’t wait to see what Arcade will bring this year. Until then, stay tuned!
