Animoca Brands has acquired Notre Game Studio, a game development and publishing company known for Scratch Wars. The acquisition aims to realize the vision of Animoca Brands through the expertise of the team behind Notre Game Studio.

What Is The Plan of Animoca Brands in Acquiring Notre Game Studio?
Animoca Brands has been a frontrunner in advancing digital property rights for gaming and the metaverse. It has previously invested in several blockchain games including Cross The Ages and Drunk Robots. Now, through its acquisition of Notre Game Studio, Animoca plans to bring Scratch Lords to the market.
Basically, Scratch Lords is a new and innovative collectible card mobile game based on the success and game mechanics of Scratch Wars. The game has updated features including NFT integration and trading.
Notre Games’ Scratch Wars was a hit after its launch. When they released it in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, it generated €2 million or approx. $3 million in sales of the game’s scratch cards. Scratch Lords, which will be available around Q3 2022 is expected to receive the same demand from gamers all over the globe.
According to Animoca Brands, the management and staff of Notre Game will continue to operate the company following its acquisition.
Jiří Mikoláš, CEO and game designer of Notre Game, expressed their gratitude for the vision of Animoca Brands. He said: “We now have the opportunity to show our ideas to the whole world. This marks an important culmination of our game development efforts after years of hard work.”
What We Know About The Scratch Lords P2E NFT Game
Scratch Lords is a new collectible card game for iOS and Android phones. Through the game, players can make their own NFTs from the cards they can get and trade.
Each of the hero cards is unique. At the same time, there is a limited amount of generated cards in each edition. Once they’re sold, there won’t be a reprint just like the real world with paper cards.
Ultimately, there is a play-to-earn feature where gamers can win Scratch tokens in duels, leagues and tournaments.
