Origin, the Axie Infinity Battles version 3, is finally set for a soft launch. The long-awaited Axie Infinity launch will come in phases, starting small with the desktop version. After testing and feedback from users, the team plans to launch Origin gradually to mobile devices.

A Desktop-First Soft Launch
The initial launch will be on desktop devices through the Mavis Hub. For about a month, the Axie Infinity team will gather feedback on the game and test the scalability of their servers.
Since Origin is Battles v3, it will have new game mechanics. The team wants to give time to the community to adjust to the new experience. The Origin soft launch will already include Runes, Charms, a PvE (player versus environment) story mode, a training mode, and a ranked mode.
Axie Infinity Launch to Come to Mobile After a Month
After “roughly a month,” the Axie team will launch Origin for Android using a mobile APK. While initial testing was one reason for a separate launch, another is to make sure the Axie servers can handle it. To date, Axie Infinity already has millions of users, and the game creators want all these players to stay happy in a smooth gaming experience.
Once Origin is up on both desktop and mobile, the team will work towards a full launch. The full version will then include SLP rewards, NFT charms or runes, and official seasons. They’ll also work on listing the game in Android and iOS app stores.
Axie Infinity devs are committed to improving Origin according to community feedback. With that in mind, players and fans can expect to experience each Origin upgrade as “thoughtful” and “data-driven.”
