The Sandbox has announced it is teaming up with BAYZ as it establishes a metaverse network in Brazil. The Brazilian gaming industry has been growing at a parabolic rate in the last few years. Significantly, the market was worth $2.3 billion in 2021 and expects to see a rise of over 5% in 2022.
The Sandbox and BAYZ will expand metaverse in Brazil
To help The Sandbox establish roots in Brazil, they are working in partnership with BAYZ. Importantly, BAYZ is a leading web3 game publisher and will use its skillset to improve the network in the country. Moreover, The Sandbox is hiring a full-time team at BAYZ to grow its community and focus on bringing new local partners to the game.
The partnership will bring IP and entertainment brands in Brazil to the metaverse. They will look to music, fashion, lifestyle, culture, architecture, sports, celebrities, TV, and media to find these connections.
“Brazil has a rich and vibrant entertainment culture that we want to bring into The Sandbox to connect more users from South and Latin America,” said Sebastien Borget, COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox. “We succeed as a global platform by incorporating individual cultures. We’re happy to have BAYZ as a strong local partner to help us include Brazil’s culture and diversity into the metaverse.”
What is BAYZ?
The web3 game publisher is one of the biggest gaming companies in Brazil. Although it is only a year old, it is already making huge waves in the industry. BAYZ has partnered with some of the biggest play-to-earn games, such as MetaSoccer, Thetan Arena, and Genopets.
BAYZ has also brought in top Brazilian content creators such as Nobru and Cerol as members and ambassadors of the company.
