metaENGINE just got a major boost to build its real-time collaborative platform for developers and content creators worldwide. The first-of-its-kind blockchain gaming infrastructure platform completed a $4 million seed funding round. The fresh capital will accelerate the project’s development ahead of its V1 release by Q3 2022.
Lemniscap and Jump Crypto co-led the seed round with the participation of Polygon Studios, Blockwall, blufolio and Insignius Capital. Future Fund, CoinDCX Ventures, Efficient Frontier, Maelstrom and other leading VC funds and prominent angels completed the line-up.

metaENGINE’s Revolutionary Gaming Platform
So what made metaENGINE stand out? According to its CEO and co-founder, Alex Shalash, no other engine combines a publishing platform, MMO networking and blockchain tools within a single platform. For example, crypto wallet integration and NFT minting are part of the features.
The platform aims to provide developers with a complete suite of tools to build and publish MMO GameFi projects from scratch and mint NFTs. In the future, they can even migrate games that they created from other venues. Moreover, multiple developers and content creators can simultaneously develop their games anywhere globally, thanks to metaENGINE.
In addition, the platform will deliver gaming guild analytics and management tools, native multi-blockchain compatibility with Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and others. The team is also working on a multi-chain tooling suite with SDKs, wallets, NFT marketplace, and transactional layer.
Established in 2021, the team holds vast experience in the gaming and development domain. Build, deploy and grow has been the thriving motivation factor. With more than 30 million active players on the platform metaENGINE is definitely a one-of-a-kind solution. So the team is more than capable of bringing their vision to life and changing the gaming landscape.
Meet the Partners
To make a mark in the NFT gaming space, metaENGINE is doubling down on its efforts to fix one prevalent user pain point — asset interoperability. Games developed using the platform will feature not just multi-chain compatibility but also multi-game functionality. This means that users and gamers can use their NFTs across various supported gaming environments.
As such, metaENGINE teamed up with Polygon for its multi-chain integration. The Polygon Network enables sustainable operations for game developers to mitigate the prohibitive gas fees associated with Ethereum.
Ishan Negi, Head of Operations at Polygon Studios, is confident that metaENGINE will significantly impact the GameFi space — both for developers and gamers. He added, “We’re excited to get behind this project that will massively accelerate interoperability between web3 games.”
Meanwhile, Ryan Wyatt, YouTube’s Head of Gaming, officially ended his tenure at Google last month to join Polygon Studios as its new CEO. YouTube Gaming now drives hundreds of billions of gaming watch time per year. This move just means that the NFT gaming industry is attracting executives and talents across other industries.
