BMW’s MINI Cooper and Fender are teaming up for a brand new Metaverse experience, Meta revealed in a statement. The two will launch the Miniverse – a VR experience for the VR Horizon Worlds platform. There, users will enjoy MINI simulations and a musical-themed game.
Why did MINI Cooper join Meta’s VR experience project?
Meta revealed its latest partners to join the VR Horizon Worlds platform: MINI Cooper and Fender! Accordingly, each brand will bring its own input with exclusive VR experiences.
To begin with, MINI will launch a virtual racetrack that can host up to four people. Participants can also customize their car. There, users can hop on a vehicle using a futuristic racetrack. Other viewers can place obstacles in the car’s way, or change their course. Users must avoid the obstacles in order to enjoy the thrill of the race!
In fact, the Meta VR experience represents Mini Cooper’s “fun and unconventional” ideas in the Web3 sector. The MINI USA Brand Communications Manager Rah Mahtani said that the company is “interested” in the project.
What about the Fender VR experience?
In short, Fender’s game involves seeking secret guitar spikes in a virtual landscape. The scenery is a guitar-shaped island filled with hidden wonders.
There, each user must create strings of chords for their guitar by collecting spikes. This way, people can generate their own musical sounds and settings.
Of course, Fender’s CMO Evan Jones declared that the company “couldn’t be happier” for joining the Metaverse. At this moment, both the MINI and Fender’s VR experiences are available via the Meta Quest 2 Headset in Canada, the US, and the UK.
