The Forge Arena game is here, and it plans to take over the play to earn (P2E) gaming ecosystem. This tactical First-person shooter (FPS) is a competitive game on the WAX blockchain.
Featuring built-in P2E mechanics and an upcoming NFT collection, the Forge Arena is already making its mark on the industry. There are hopes that this could develop into a significant e-sport.
How does The Forge Arena game work?
Basically, Forge Arena is a fast-paced, no-nonsense, kill or get killed FPS. You will take part in a cross-map war in teams of five, using modern weaponry. Whoever gets the most kills wins.
Currently, you need a Gen-Zero or Ascendance NFT to play the beta, which is already getting rave reviews. However, there will be an open beta and a free to play option at the final release in the future.
There are several ways to earn tokens in the game. At the moment, the main four are BOUNTY, SOUL, SPARK, and SCRAP. Each of these works in a different way. For example, BOUNTY involves daily challengers, whereas SOUL uses accumulated kills to earn tokens and SCRAP through playing the game.
Significantly, SPARK can generate new NFTs and buy skins in the in-game market. Additionally, with SPARKS, GENCON, the game’s WAX governance token, will be changeable.
The first Forge Arean NFT collection, Gen-Zero NFTs, launched in November 2021. These are considered founder NFT tokens and provide the holder with exclusive benefits. They are scarce, with only 1,111 in existence.
Now, the second Forge NFT drop is finally here. The Ascendance Capsules NFT collection is much bigger and consists of 11,111 capsules.
Each of these capsules has 2 NFTs inside. They are an Ascendance themed weapon NFT skin and also a tournament badge. Reportedly, players can equip their weapons in-game right away, but the badge is an access pass to a future Forge Arena tournament.
