Gamefam, a top game publisher in Roblox has raised $25M to build games in the Roblox metaverse. Konvoy Ventures led the round. Other prominent investors include Play Ventures and Makers Fund. Accordingly, Gamefam will be using the funds to grow its team, build partnerships and accelerate revenue growth.

Gamefam is ready to flex its muscles in the Roblox metaverse
Prior to the funding, Gamefam has published more than 30 games in Roblox with several of them in the top 25. These popular titles include Twilight Daycare, All Star Tower Defense, and Tower of Misery. This amazing achievement is possible thanks to the strong team of 125 game developers in Gamefam.
In addition, the company also provides tools and resources to game creators, so that they can better manage their games. Based on current stats, Gamefam has garnered 6.5 million daily unique users in the US alone and another 15 million worldwide. This equates to more than 75 million hours of gameplay each month.
“I think that it’s going to be an incredible growth segment for the video game industry at large,” said Joe Ferencz, CEO of Gamefam. Indeed, with the already humungous growth, a $25M boost in funding will take Gamefam to infinity.
Ferencz added that: “The next phase of the company is not just continuing to add value to existing creators, but launching what we hope will be the next generation of super hit original franchises born from Roblox and the metaverse.”
Aside from Roblox, Gamefam is also considering other platforms like The Sandbox and Rec Room. But Roblox remains a top choice, as the company believes it is the only metaverse that’s scalable. This is true, as Roblox currently boasts 43.2 million daily active users on its platform.
Engaging IRL events such as the recently launched virtual concert will help bring in new Roblox users while retaining the existing ones. Nevertheless, with the ever-growing interest in the metaverse, we can’t wait to see what Gamefam will bring to Roblox soon!
