MOBOX recently announced its plan for its upcoming metaverse called MoMoverse. Now we have more details about a vital aspect of the MoMoverse, the MOBOX NFT Avatar airdrop!
What are MOBOX Avatars?
MOBOX Avatars are ERC-721 NFTs built for the MoMoverse. You can hold as many in your address as you want. This means players can change to different Avatars in the MoMoverse to display.
These Avatars have 15 fixed property attributes when minted. Each property comes in different rarities, and each Avatar has an overall rarity rating.
In addition, Avatars have eight special slots which seem to be where you can put your in-game equipment. This will allow your Avatar to wear clothes and hold items in the game.
Players will have the option of putting their Avatar back into a chest for a fee in MBOX tokens. When they open the chest, a new Avatar is minted! This is an interesting game feature depending on the cost.
Players will be able to buy Avatar chests containing the MOBOX Avatar with MBOX tokens in the MoMoverse.
So How Can You Receive MOBOX Avatar Airdrop
The airdrop will happen on April 5th, 2022, at 8 a.m. UTC. To be able to qualify, you need an address on the BNB chain with veMBOX staked to “Long” on the MOBOX platform. This will guarantee that you will receive up to three Avatar chests.
Basically, veMBOX is a way to enhance your APY when you stake on the MOBOX platform. When agreeing to lock up MBOX tokens, you receive a reward depending on your contribution to the staking pool. Take note, however, that veMBOX doesn’t actually exist as a token. So, you won’t be able to retrieve your MBOX staked as veMBOX until the end of the lockup period.
This initial airdrop is definitely not cheap. To receive an Avatar chest, you must stake at least 18,000 veMBOX. How this translates to MBOX varies depending on the lockup period length. But, on the longest period, which is three years, you get a 15-1 return ratio for each MBOX.
For instance, 18,000 veMBOX needs 1200 MBOX staked for three years or you can stake more MBOX for less time. At current prices, that’s around $3300 and only for one chest! But, technically, the chest is a bonus when you stake funds into the MBOX DeFi system, which yields up to 120% in returns.
For bigger investors, they can stake 32,001 to 90,000 veMBOX to get two Avatar chests. And those with over 90,000 veMBOX receive three. They will receive the airdrop of the Avatar chests after the launch of the MoMoverse and the Avatar smart contract. You cannot sell Avatar chests, but you can definitely sell the Avatars.
