On February 28th, Decentral Games reached out to its Twitter community to announce the Freeplay game night. To participate, interested players need to visit Tominoya within Decentraland. There, they can test their luck against the house, at no cost to them. Testing sessions are taking place every Monday between today and May 2nd.
About Decentral Games
Decentral Games is a DAO focused on building NFT-based games. It aims to create games that are not only fun but also enable players to own and control the future of the DAO.
The DAO recently scored big with its virtual casino ICE Poker in Decentraland. The play-to-earn poker platform hosts approximately 6,000 unique players each day. This accounts for more than 30% of Decentraland’s daily users.
According to Decentral Games founder Miles Anthony: “At any given time, we have over 1,000 players playing poker. It doesn’t sound like a lot of users, but when it comes to the open metaverse, it’s pretty substantial considering the main issue right now with metaverses is that they’re empty.”
The DAO continues its success with Tominoya
Decentral Games expanded its virtual casino portfolio with Tominoya. In April 2020, the DAO announced the release of the new virtual casino.
The casino has 40 NFTs, each with either a roulette table or 4 slots. Each wallet with a Tominoya NFT earns a passive monthly rent payment based on the game volume from this parcel. Since the games are originally in MANA, all passive income is distributed in MANA.
Decentral Games is quickly cementing its name as a virtual casino pioneer; especially since traditional casinos still find it difficult to launch in the metaverse due to regulations. Therefore, it’s safe to say that casino companies are keeping a close eye on what this DAO does next.
