Today, the blockchain tech company CBI (Crypto Blockchain Industries) announced the first LGBTQ Metaverse: Qtopia. The digital world will welcome all LGBTQ+ community members to an innovative web3 experience. Furthermore, Qtopia will launch as a space within CBI’s AlphaVerse centralized NFT hub.

What is Qtopia?
In essence, Qtopia is the first NFT-powered metaverse dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community. The virtual world will serve as a meeting spot where members can socialize and trade NFTs.
Accordingly, the metaverse will officially go live in early 2023. Meanwhile, collectors will be able to join real estate pre-sales. To clarify, you will be able to buy your own property within Qtopia. Of course, the collectibles will drop as NFTs shortly before the metaverse launch.
In addition to the real estate NFTs, Qtopia will also launch its own cryptocurrency called UniQoin. The currency will undoubtedly grow the project’s value for its community in the long run.
Starting in 2023, collectors will be able to explore the Qtopia metaverse via AlphaVerse.

How does the LGBTQ+ metaverse work?
The Qtopia virtual world consists of four islands: Celebration Island, Sapphire Island, Qtopia City, and Isla de Fuego. All in all, there are 44 districts and 117,264 Land parcels. Collectors can buy properties (houses, apartments, and more) or combine plots of Land.
All of these features allow content creators and collectors to thrive in the Web3 era. For example, companies can use properties to showcase their products and services. Meanwhile, users can also trade or show off their NFTs, thereby connecting with one another.

Who created the LGBTQ+ metaverse?
The two co-founders of Qtopia are Jordan Weiss and Rachel Kimelman from Crypto Meta LLC (CM). Previously, the duo developed Qutie, an LGBTQ social app. Their experience with Qutie has undoubtedly inspired the team to explore blockchain tech.
“We’re very excited and proud to announce the first LGBTQ-focused Metaverse and partner with AlphaVerse to launch it,” said Rachel and Jordan. “Qtopia will support the community by not only providing them with a space to come together virtually from all over the world, but also financially, as part of our sales will be donated to charity, and our currency will focus on helping LGBTQ-friendly businesses.”
What is AlphaVerse?
Created by Crypto Blockchain Industries (CBI), AlphaVerse aims to become the first metaverse that combines other universes. In short, this digital world will consist of multiple other themed metaverses – including Qtopia.
Surprisingly, AlphaVerse is led by no other than Frédéric Chesnais. Chesnais is the former CEO of Atari, a renowned gaming company.
“As the AlphaVerse continues to grow, we want to ensure it is inclusive and offers spaces for everyone,” he said in a statement. “Qtopia is exactly the kind of community we want to welcome to the Metaverse, and by extension, the AlphaVerse.”
AlphaVerse will launch during the summer of 2022. As for Qtopia, the LGBTQ+ friendly metaverse will go live at the beginning of 2023.
