The fantasy MMORPG series, Ni no Kuni, has finally released its first blockchain game – “Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds”. Developed and published by Netmarble, Level 5, and Studio Ghibli, the game features full RPG content and breathtaking sceneries along the way. Wonder how P2E works in this game? Let’s take a quick look.

What is Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds?

To those who don’t know, Ni no Kuni actually means the second country in Japanese. In essence, the game is an auto battler mobile RPG that is free to play.

In the lore itself, the entire RPG takes place in a virtual reality game called Soul Divers. Here, players will battle monsters and complete quests to earn in-game resources, Territe and Asterite. They can then exchange both of these resources into crypto tokens $NKT and $NKA respectively.

Even if you’re not a fan of video games, spending time in Ni no Kuni can be a very enjoyable experience. Here, the acclaimed Studio Ghibli presents stunning animation and serene music to all travelers in Soul Divers.

    Is the game live now?

As of writing, the game is in Public Beta. You can now download Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds on either PC or mobile devices. The fact that the game achieved more than 1M downloads after 2 weeks of launch speaks a lot about its popularity.

All in all, Ni no Kuni is one of the many Web2 games that made its way into Web3. Early this year, Japanese gaming giant, Sega, recognized NFTs as an inevitable part of future games. With all the recent happenings, things seem to be moving in the right direction.
