The SAMURAI SAGA will release the ultimate drop of its NFT collection entitled ‘ONNA-BUGEISHA’! NFT lovers can mint the NFTs ahead of the launch of the Samurai Saga’s first ‘Play-to-Earn’ game.
The drop will be held in multiple phases between March 16-18. A of total 6,666 NFTs will be released. The developers hope it will follow the earlier success of the collection’s first drop which sold out in seconds.
ONNA-BUGEISHA’s tale is about a person’s strength and resistance. Collectors can use their NFTs in the Open World with a tribe of breeders, creators, and warriors battling against Kaiju monsters.
The NFT collection will play a crucial role in enhancing Samurai Saga’s ecosystem. Every ONNA-BUGEISHA can harvest the native in-game currency called $GENKI tokens through Saga’s staking system. The longer the staking duration, the more tokens harvested.
In addition to amplifying the wider staking system, ONNA-BUGEISHA warriors are playable characters in the upcoming ‘Play-To-Earn’ game. Ownership of an ONNA-BUGEISHA NFT is a requirement to access the game character universe with exclusive attributes and skills.

About Samurai Saga
Samurai Saga features extremely detailed artwork by in-house artist Dino Tomic who created the collection. Robots and samurai lore became the inspiration of The Samurai Saga — an army of 9999 randomly generated NFTs representing different Samurais types.
The fabled story of the Samurais who secretly watched over the world and fought evil led the developers to transform them into cyber Samurais, aka playable NFT characters.
Apart from the game development, Samurai Saga also has other features on its roadmap to keep collectors engaged in its ever-evolving project. You can join Samurai Saga’s community to get the latest announcements.
NFTs and the Future of Gaming
NFTs continue to show that they have more utility cases in the gaming industry. In the past months, there have been several NFT game updates. For instance, this P2E Blockchain game backed by Ubisoft and this ARPG on Solana that raised $2M from its seed round & NFT sale. This only demonstrates that the applications of NFTs in gaming are noteworthy, like GameFi, Play-to-Earn, and the latest innovation — a decentralized gaming ecosystem.
