SCB10X (a subsidiary of SCB) has become the latest large company to announce its plans for a metaverse headquarters, specifically, in The Sandbox.

The Metaverse Plans
SCB 10X, the venture building and investment arm of Siam Commercial Bank, announced today that it will launch its first metaverse headquarters in The Sandbox. Upon launch later this year, SCB 10X’s virtual HQ in The Sandbox metaverse will welcome visitors into an immersive world. It was designed to reflect the past, present and future of Thai culture that is influential to SCB 10X development.
Their start in the metaverse came a couple of days ago. They held an Open House with several big guest speakers. These guests included their President Arak Sutivong, The Sandbox co-founder Sébastien Borget and Snoop Dogg’s Investment Manager Nicholas Adler, to name a few. This event may be the first of more in The Sandbox.
The Sandbox co-founder Sébastien Borget said: “SCB 10X joined The Sandbox Series B investment round last November 2021 as a strategic partner and is now pursuing its strategy into the metaverse by opening their LAND and experience in The Sandbox, their team is leading innovation in the digital assets space and we’re glad to see them exploring how a bank can grow a community in the open Metaverse.”
