The widely successful Thetan Arena has already drawn over 23M players worldwide since its November 2021 release. As the first blockchain MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) game, it features modes that remind you of League of Legends (LoL). LoL already has 180M players, making it the most popular MOBA in 2022. Will Thetan Arena rise to the same height of success on the blockchain?

Thetan Arena vs LoL on Casual and Hardcore Gaming
Thetan Arena seems to have done well in making NFT games easier for the masses. The game is available on iOS, Android, and Windows PCs. It brings an experience that’s friendly to all ages.
For example, newbies can play as a guest and follow the easy tutorial. There’s no need to invest anything to start playing, and a bored kid will soon be hooked. With battles lasting only 3 to 4 minutes each, the game welcomes casual and hardcore players alike.
As Thetan Arena focuses on personal skills and teamwork, it looks pretty similar to League of Legends. Both games give players a top-down view. However, the two differ in terms of character style. While Thetan Arena leans more on the cuter, chibi look, LoL takes on a more realistic character design.
Hardcore players are known to love MOBA games such as LoL, DOTA, and Mobile Legends. Thetan Arena wants to reach this market. So, aside from attracting gamers to its NFT features, the blockchain MOBA is offering enticing gameplay.
Thetan Arena Game Modes
Thetan Arena includes several MOBA game modes. Deathmatch is among the first you can play when you first join the game. It’s a classic PvP mode that looks like League of Legends’ 5v5 format. Thetan has it at 4v4.
Aside from Deathmatch, Thetan Arena also features the game mode Superstar. Here, players need to gather the superstar quickly before the enemies do. Then, there’s Tower Destroy—another classic MOBA mode. To win the game, you need to bring down the enemy’s nexus. Again, that sounds like what you have in LoL.

For those who want to go all out with their skills, Battle Royale is the answer. This game mode has two types: a solo and a duo mode. This game style is a “royal battle” for an epic reason. Here, 42 players or 21 duos battle their skills out until only one player or one duo survives. In solo, you’d want to be the last man standing. In duo, your goal is to stay alive with your friend.
Earning Cryptocurrency and Trading NFT Items
Here’s where Thetan Arena takes the lead. League of Legends doesn’t have NFT trading features yet. Riot Games, the LoL creator, has already filed for a trademark in the NFT sector in 2021. However, there’s no news on what exactly is coming.
To compare, Thetan Arena features two tokens: THC and THG. Thetan Coins (THC) are free to earn. You just need to play different game modes and join activities.
Thetan Gems (THG) are also free to earn. What sets it apart from THC is that it allows you to become an investor. THG is a governance token. Owning Thetan Gems means you have voting power on the project. Hence, THG token holders can help shape the future of Thetan Arena.
Thetan Arena Game Developers and Roadmap
Khanh Nguyen is heading Wolffun Game, the creator of Thetan Arena. Working with him are blockchain experts that have helped shape the game’s clear roadmap. By Q2 of 2022, the team already aims at enabling staking.
By Q3, we’re also expecting guild wars and streaming. It will then be an exciting release for gaming content creators. By December this year, we’re looking forward to tournaments and battle passes. If these and the crypto earning features don’t pull LoL players to Thetan Arena, I don’t know what will.
